About Us

Inspired by the Little Red Hen fable—with a Louisiana twist—the Little Rouge Hen team helps organizations, and the individuals behind them, to define their unique value to maximize their impact.

Just like the fable’s title character, the little red hen, who seeks help from all the other barnyard animals to make bread, but then ends up harvesting and milling the wheat and baking it all on her own, many nonprofit institutions and their teams face a similar challenge. It’s hard to stop and ask for help when, like the hen, they are tasked with many responsibilities: telling the story of their organizations, generating revenue, and juggling the day-to-day crises that arise. Despite limited resources, these teams are often asked to somehow do it all.

The Little Rouge Hen concept was hatched as a way to help our clients avoid the hen’s fate. We not only deliver marketing, development, and communications strategy, but more importantly we identify and cultivate existing individual talent and build team capacity so that you have a lasting recipe for success long after we’ve flown the coop.
